I'm back after my short trip to Belgium. Great weather for most of the time meant that I was able to sit on the beach and knit. Unfortunately I seemed to have left my brain at home so ripped out most of what I had done!
The only surviving work is the start of the Unbiased bag using Recycled Sari Silk - there are so many other bits of foreign matter that I thought a few grains of sand couldn't hurt.
I'm enjoying knitting with it now I've learnt not to pull too hard (otherwise it descends into a mass of loose threads). I seem to have 4 very different coloured skeins - the only positive thing is that it must match at least one item in my wardrobe!
Posted by Yvonne at June 1, 2005 02:03 PMWelcome home. My holiday knitting is always a scarf as that seems to perfectly reflect my attention span when on holiday. A.x

Hi Yvonne - glad to see you're back and hope you had a good time. I love the unbiased bag - I made one but knitted it a bit deeper and doubled up the handle to two thicknesses stitched together. It all turns out gorgeous in the end, now back to more truffling out yarn bargains on the net.....
see ya, Jules
P.S Hope you can put some more photos up soon - I love your work
Great to have you back, Yvonne. I hope that your holiday was all that you hoped for and the wind blew for the kites. The sari silk bag sounds great, look forward to seeing it.

Posted by: Nic at June 1, 2005 08:54 PMHi Yvonne
Just caught up with your blog and was very sorry to read about your gran. What a great age she lived to - lets hope we all get that lucky to see so much of life.
Look forward to seeing the sand mingled in with the recycled sari silk!
