Firstly a huge "Thank you " to everyone who sent birthday wishes - I've had a wonderful week of celebrations which culminated in yesterdays visit to the "Art and design" show at Syon Park. The reason for going was to sit and knit in the wonderful company of Tess and Les (Silkwood ); Nic and Jill.
A day full of colour!

A couple of modest purchases were made, a skein of their aran weight silk and a skein of angora dyed a deep red, both of which I have plans for - watch this space!
Posted by Yvonne at August 6, 2005 10:56 PMBeautiful Beautiful yarn. I'm practically drooling all over my monitor! We don't have ANYTHING even remotely like that her in Oz. Well, not that I have seen anywhere anyway.
Posted by: shell at August 10, 2005 09:32 AMgorgeous... I just want to take a running jump and dive into that yarn
Posted by: P at August 9, 2005 08:26 PMThose colours are beautiful - wish I could have gone!
Posted by: Daisy at August 9, 2005 09:07 AMhappy birthday Yvonne!
Your present (unwrapped, of course) is at work, so I suppose you could have popped in to get it if you'd known, lol!
Dawn:)
Posted by: dawn at August 8, 2005 09:02 PMHappy belated birthday. I shall raise a tea cup to you on Thursday!
Posted by: Amelia at August 8, 2005 08:46 PMWow! What colourful yarn there. I think you were very restrained just coming away with two skeins, especially as it was your birthday treat.
And don't believe them when they say you're only 50 once. If you like it you can always be 50 again next year.
Posted by: Louise at August 7, 2005 05:31 PMWhat beeyoootiful colours. I wish I could see them in person.
Posted by: Linda at August 7, 2005 08:13 AMI'm really looking forward to going later on today. The display looks fantastic.
