Thought I'd share with you a few of my favourite exhibits from the show:

I loved the colour and shapes in this exhibit

My favourite Japanese exhibit
This is the exhibit that kept drawing my attention at Ally Pally. I managed a brief discussion with the knitter and found that it had taken her 1 year to knit. Unfortunately her English was not good enough for me to understand some of the construction technique. My japanese is non-existant but I think she understood my fascination with her garments and my appreciation of the skill involved.
Holy cow, that bubble-wrap knitting it very cool! If I ever get my hands on insane amounts of bubble wrap, I'm going to want to try that for myself now!

Hope you are fully recovered from your 4 days hard work at Ally Pally. Are you all packed and ready for the next 4 days in Glasgow this Thursday? Hope it all goes well and you have a good time. Jan xx

Posted by: Linda at October 18, 2005 12:29 PMthat knitting is fabulous - there is some amazing work coming out of Japan in textiles, makes you wonder if they have an Ally-Pally.....
cheers, J
I wish I had had the time to look at this knitting properly, it looked fasciating, not like knitting at all.
I reckon work today must have seemed like a holiday to you after the last four days!
