Up and down

I started off this morning feeling upbeat thanks to the start of SP7 and knowing a) that I have someone to spoil and B) my Pal has already been in touch with me.

I then took myself off to the British School of Osteopathy hoping that they can sort me out with the joint pain. After a very thorough examination they have turned me down as I'm too complex for the students. The tutor had advised me to find a Cranial Osteopath - anyone any suggestions as to a) how do I find one and b) pay for it - the only one I've found so far wants 3 months yarn money (new budget) for the initial discussion - ouch!!

The only other positive thing was that I managed to have lunch with Dawn which always cheers me up!

I hope you get the osteopath problem solved soon. Pain can wear down the best of people when it's ongoing and nobody should have to deal with it.

I'm glad you've been contacted by your pal - I'm still waiting to hear from mine. I've contacted the lady I'm spoiling and am so thrilled that I can't wait to start finding things for her. This is my first time and I'm already getting way too excited about it!

I know I got my GP to refer me for a course of 6 osteopathy sessions, but then again I didn't get to choose which osteopath they sent me to, as part of an NHS save money long-term thing.

Hope you manage to find one soon - perhaps one who would work for knitted items?

I would have thought the school of Osteopathy would have had a list of cranial osteopaths who are registered......we had one near here who used to advertise in the Health Centre, although she practised privately. It was suggested that I went to one to try and sort out this sporadic jaw pain I suffer from, supposed to be due to mis-alignment. One of daughter's friend took new-born to one (which worked) but think this was specialist in new borns......

Afraid I haven't any solution as to how you pay for it though......

I seem to remember some walk-in centre in the city, where these sort of things were free, it was run alongside an ordinary GP clinic - I will have a think.
