Back in 2002 I bought a kit from Viv Hoxbro for a Kimono jacket. The project baffled me, I started knitting it, made mistakes and eventually frogged it throwing it into a bag into the darkest corners of the garage stash. It has gradually worked it's way to the top and will be the biggest challenge of the stash UFO's for this year.
I started it again this week, by Wednesday a.m. I was on the start of panel 4 and managed to knit the strip out of sequence, I ripped it out and have started yet again!
I think the problem is a) I've been trying to knit it at groups (Putney and Liberty) and that b) the lighting in both places is not good enough for me to differentiate between 2 of the colours but I am determined that this time it will either be finished or binned!
I think this will have to become my Saturday morning project - the time when I can sit by the window, in peace and quiet and focus.
Posted by Yvonne at January 27, 2006 10:57 AMHello Yvonne!
Just wanted to tell you that I absolutely love the VH design you are doing. Good luck with finishing it - think you're right about working on it in daylight. What is the name of that particular model?

Posted by: Charlotte Kea at February 4, 2006 04:46 PMA silly question but does it really really matter if the odd stripe is in the wrong place. Or is that a heretic suggestion? A.x

Be very careful! I seem to remember that the colours were very similar when you started this before and the odd stripe crept in! I hope this gets finished, a very striking garment. Love the colours
