Last week saw the opening of another branch of Caffee Nero - this time in my local high street. Saturday morning saw the first meeting of the Nero Knitters - yes, Jan B, Sue S and Sue P came over and joined me for a few hours.
I then introduced them to my favourite charity shops and some great bargains were found - I've spent most of the weekend browsing through vintage 1968 "Pins and Needles" magazines bought for the grand sum of £1 for 6. I also found a magazine from 1992 which introduced the Jan Messant "Knitted Gardens" book which has kept me occupied for the last year.
The books keep appearing as well, I now have 'Knitting Rules" and "Knitted Flowers" and am waiting impatiently for "One Skein" and "Big Girl Knits" to get here. There's a few more shawl patterns on their way as well, think I'd better lock the credit cards away for a while!

Like you, am also still waiting for the Big Girl Knits, and also waiting for the Morehouse Merino - we need a meet-up to compare all these delicious new books appearing.
