Daisy - perhaps the cafe could become "Caffee Noro" instead!
My niece (17) is a trainee barrista in the local branch, she wasn't working on saturday and did not know I was planning to met friends there. She rang on Sunday night to tell me that there had been a knitting group in there the previous day - some of the other staff had commented on it - she reassured them it wasn't a mad group and was probably led by Auntie - she then thought she ought to let me know incase it wasn't me and I missed out on potential fun!
Juliet - I wish we were nearer as well - then I could save on my book bill and share your library! Hope today was a better Wednesday for you!
I've picked up the baby blanket again and have set myself Monday as a deadline for finishing it, with a long weekend away from work I might just achieve it though a lot will depend on what my youngest nieces have planned for me - we're off to Yorkshire for the weekend to help keep an eye on them as their Dad has had an accident at work and is in hospital awaiting surgery
Posted by Yvonne at April 26, 2006 10:45 PMSorry I didn't get to talk to you more last night - but I did get to see and admire the blanket! Hope you manage to get it done whilst child-minding, though I must say it doesn't sound like it, though you will at least have the long car jourey. Good luck with the nieces, and also with Dad's surgery.
Posted by: Jill at April 28, 2006 09:06 AMI'm sorry the family isn't well. They'll be glad to have you come in, like the cavalry. If knitting happens there, it will be a bonus.
Posted by: Linda at April 28, 2006 02:13 AMI hope that everything is ok up in Yorkshire and hope you get plenty of knitting time
Posted by: nic at April 27, 2006 12:01 PMCafe Noro - I like it!
Hope the accident victim recovers soon.
Best wishes for your injured relative - I hope the surgery goes well.
Enjoy the girls - I'm doing the Parent & Child workshop this weekend so there'll be lots of kids knitting around me!
Posted by: blueadt at April 27, 2006 12:09 AMYvonne, sorry to hear of the accident victim being in hospital awaiting surgery. Which hospital would that be? I'm working all over the holiday weekend and it would have been nice to have seen you had you been visiting mine.
Take care, and I hope the neices allow you plenty of knitting time.
