I was fortunate to be able to spend some time visiting the Knit Japan exhibitions at Ally Pally and Harrogate last year. I managed to talk to some of the exhibitors and was fascinated by their work.
This morning I found a copy of Workbox in the newsagents and was pleased to see an article about the exhibition which helped fill in some of mmy knowledge gaps. I will go back to my Flickr photos and make sure that the work is given it's proper accreditation.
Posted by Yvonne at June 11, 2006 02:11 PMBananas? Who mentioned bananas? I hate bananas, even the smell of them, but I have got some rather nice banana fibre yarn.
Sorry I don't know how I got side tracked on to bananas. Iwas wondering if you follow Scout's blog http://www.scoutj.com/2006/06/ and specifically the upcoming travels of Flat Scout?
Since Flat Scout will be coming to visit me in France and since I am going to do my darndest to get to Ally Pally in Oct for the annual shebang and since I assume you will be organising the Knit and Relax area (?) I wondered if it might be an idea to invite Flat Scout to the big event and I could pick her up from there and take her back to France.
Does this all sound like gooble dee gook? It will unless you check it out on the blog.
Fingers crossed and bon weekend as they say here.
Posted by: maylin at June 16, 2006 10:42 PMOh my Lord - we could be the anti-banana-tequila-lotus-knitalong!!! I have never met anyone else who admits bananas are yucky, you don't know how happy that makes me. That Workbox magazine looks really good - I am sooooo skint at the moment that I am trying (and failing) to be good, though I could be about to fall of the wagon...................
