Completed Rowan Exchange

Here's a photo of my completed throw for the Rowan Hearth and Home exchange.

I'm fairly pleased with it but remind me never to plan to knit a mohair throw in a UK Heatwave ever again. It has now been laundered and is on it's way to the post office.

It has a very long way to travel so I hope it doesn't get lost on route and that the recipient will enjoy it.

I'm swatching with yarns trying to decide on my next project, I still have the Diamond Fantasy shawl on the go so that rules out another shawl. I'm debating on the merits of Turbulence or Ogee from the Knitting nature book if I can find a suitable yarn

The throw looks great; you must have been so hot knitting it in this weather!

It's lovely, that's a really lucky recipient! I'm amazed you've mananged to get it finished in this heat, especially as you've been poorly. I hope you are completely well again now.

The throw is absolutely fantastic, beautifully made and with such love too. I think the recipient will love it, it is full of comforting hugs.

that is amazing - totally beautiful. I have read about magic carpets but that is the first time what looks like it should be a magic throw. Destined to be a a real treasure for the recipient I reckon

Awwww pretty pretty pretty!! xx

that is simply stunning. I wouldn't just question knitting mohair in a heatwave, though, but also knitting something so large! You must be incredibly determined. I'm sticking to socks and scarves at the moment: thy're not exactly seasonal but they don't cover my overheating lap with knitting

I LOVE Ogee - near the top of the to-do list for me. Your h&h gift looks gorgeous, I'm sure that it will be appreciated, I can't believe you knitted it in this heatwave!
