Lixie - I don't have any instructions that I can email over - what a disgrace - I'll have to see what we can do about that. There is a good DVD to buy that has lots of examples and hints by Dorret Conway knitknack
Gill - the tank is based on the Lotus Blossom tank from IK. I worked out what needle size I would need to make it fit in the bust area and then what finished measurement I would need around the hips. basically, I used a needle size 3 sizes larger for the first lace section, then dropped a size per lace band until I got to the right size and gauge for the bodice. I wanted the neckline higher so knitted the back section first and then worked the front but extending the section by a further 12 rows (continuing with the decreases as set). I pinned it and tried it on, decided it needed to be higher so knitted a further 6 rows before casting off. I used the SWT Bamboo yarn and it was a joy to work with
Question
My USA lace patterns come in page protecters with 3 holes - why can I not buy a 3rng binder over here to put them in? If anyone nows of any sources I'd be grateful as I need to get them all stored in one place!!
Posted by Yvonne at August 2, 2006 12:52 PMYou should check Woolworths or Partners, even Wilkos, Ive seen them, big ones as well... 3 ring binders.... you may have more luck finding them closer to school starting then right now in the middle of summer though. But they do do them. :)
Posted by: Jennifer at August 4, 2006 09:06 AMI'll bring you one, the next, next time that I see you. I have plenty of 3 ring binders in the loft from when I moved over from the states.

Posted by: atu at August 3, 2006 05:47 AMI had exactly the same problem and searched everywhere for a 3 ring binder, without success. Then my local independent stationer suggested that partworks are often supplied with them and on a recent clear out I found one about five years old from a needlecraft partwork! Just an idea....
