I spent 2 days xmas shopping and have very little to show for it but at least 2 packages made it to the post office today! Still no non-yarn ideas for myself (apart from a few more knitting books!)
The pink knitting continues but the end is in sight - just as well as they need to be packed by friday night. I really want to be knitting something more interesting but can't decide what to motivate myself with.
My rotten mood continues mainly due to a broken tooth last night and a morning at the dentist today. I've been scared of the dentist since I was a child and broke a tooth trying to see over the counter in the local fish and chip shop - wonder if that's why I don't like to eat fish? This time I tried a dentist known to Matt - very patient and very expensive!
The only thing that has made me smile today is this I've always enjoyed advent calendars
I've just found this link britknitcast and really enjoyed listening to some of the conversations from Harrogate
Posted by Yvonne at December 11, 2006 10:40 PMSad news: Leslie Harpold of wonderful Advent Calendar Fame and a great online journalist died on 7th December. That is the reason it is not being updated.
Posted by: Judith at December 18, 2006 03:08 PMI've been having tooth issues too! I broke a tooth during pregnancy a couple of years back and finally got it fixed a few months ago. Since then it's been nothing but a pain! Ouch! I should have left it broken. Hope you are doing well now!

Christmas shopping is still underway for me, though most is finished. A woman in my knitting group makes beautiful earrings, so I bought loads of them to give as gifts -- made shopping v. easy this year!
It will be odd not to spend Christmas in the UK this year, after doing so for the past 5 years. Oh well, it will be nice to be with MY family this year, anyway.
Enjoy the holidays!

Posted by: Carolyn at December 12, 2006 06:01 PMOh Christmas is grim - I have pretty much finished (no I am not organised it is just that I hate it so much I have to get it done otherwise I would curl up in a ball and scream, and wrapping things is even worse), therefore I have broken the yarn diet (and finished Oakley - but no picture yet) and bought a Kim Hargreaves knit "Tender" from her light and shade collection in a very soft green called Meadow. Buy yourself a little knitterly treat here and there as you go - it really helps
