One of the great things about holding a group in a public space is that you never know who will drop in. Look who turned up last night!
It was great to meet Ann of Mason-Dixon Knitting in person. Lovely too to see Sue's niece Beth again and a late visit from Shea, Johanne and friends.
Not everyone in the restaurant was as nice - the people on the next table gave the management a hard time saying we were too noisy, not the sort of people you expect to find in Liberty's and that we got preferential treatment.
He informed them that we have a standard weekly booking for the tables and have done so for 5 years, that actually it was one of our quieter nights and that they love having us visit! - Nice to be appreciated!

The response they got was marvelous and well deserved!
Glad you got to meet 'my' Ann at last.

Posted by: Kay at January 9, 2007 11:27 PMIsn't she the best and so is Kay -- we had the pleasure of them talking at our local historical (although - maybe that day it was hysterical) museum this summer.
When I run into people like those in Liberty - I just tell myself how glad I am that I am not married to them -- it helps sometimes.
Posted by: rho1640 at January 3, 2007 03:49 PMBloomin' cheek of some people! Glad Liberty's know where their loyalties lie!

Posted by: Daisy at December 30, 2006 04:59 PMPoor girl looks a bit jet-lagged. I hope you fed her a proper English tea. So pleased the staff stuck up for you.
