I'm finally home from work after a stressful day and now need to pack for my trip to Glasgow for the ICHF show at the SECC. I thought I'd be safe from spending at this show but I've just learnt that Jamie Possum will be there.....
I love doing this show as I really enjoy the company I keep - they make me smile, relax and laugh - much needed at present! I travel up tomorrow and back home on Sunday night after the show - last year's March trip was an adventure with Glasgow cut off by snow.
I'm finding it difficult to settle on any project at the moment and have started on something new from one of my favourite designers, using yarn from stash and I'm hoping that I will make significant progress on it over the next few days.
This version of my blog will be 2 next week- so as a birthday competition - Anyone want to take a guess as to the designer / pattern /yarn?
Prize will come from my Knitwitches Stash!
Posted by Yvonne at March 6, 2007 10:02 PMAfter seeing some of your lovely knitting in person on Saturday I think you were secretly knitting a poncho by Fibertrends in purple eyelash cause I know you really enjoyed working with it before.....
Only kidding my real guess is the Fibertrends Lace Spinners Shawl, cause I think its lovely, in laceweight from stash, now thats the hard part to guess, maybe the blue from your SP9?
Might you be knitting a pullover design by Joan McGowan Michael using Blue Faced Leicester from the Yarn Yard?
Have a great trip to Glasgow! Looking forward to reading about it and seeing your purchases.
Hope you arrive safely and I will see you on Saturday.
Posted by: yvette at March 7, 2007 02:25 PMfibertrends shawl, peacock feather maybe and the knitwitches yarn?
If I felt well enough would come up its only around and hour and quarter from me
A fibretrends shawl in Jaeger extra fine merino? Would that work? Not sure - but it'll definitely be a shawl .... Have a great time in Glasgow - sorry I'll miss you again.
Peacock Feathers shawl from Fibretrends? Or have you already done that one? I get sooo confused!
Enjoy Glasgow and leave some possum for the locals :-)
