Firstly - thanks to everyone for the good wishes, this has been a bad week what with the arthritis and full blown hayfever! I'm gradually feeling more human and have managed to finish a small project, it took the best part of the week when in reality I would normally have been able to knit it in a day - the little silk shrug from Lace Style only knitted in Rowan Damask. I'll take a photo once it's dry and before I post it to it's new owner. I like the way the Damask knitted up and used less than 2 balls of it, I'd originally bought 3 in the green so may make another one soon.
I do get stir crazy when I can't get out and about so decided that if I was careful I could go out for the day providing I did nothing strenuous. So I took myself off to Water Aid's headquarters in London and spent a very pleasant few hours sewing blue squares together for the River. This time there were 14 of us and we made great strides in trying to beat the 60,000 squares into submission. My total for the day was a section of 14 X 12 squares.
Once more I forgot to take my camera - will try to remember it next week for the final sewing session - anyone want to come and help?

Posted by: gerard at April 30, 2007 08:59 AMHUGs from me. I'm going to a party in aid of Water Aid this weekend - no squares there though :-( Have to take my own knitting.
I'll be signing up for the September Exeter exhibition again, Yvonne, - just got to fill the darned form in.
