Happy Day

The Hap is finished and I had 1 yard of yarn left!

Phew that was close..

It's currently soaking so that I can attempt to block it later today and there will be photos when I find the camera which is still hiding from me!

Although this project seems to have gone on for ages it's partly due to me playing with other projects. I think the knitting would have been easier if I had knitted one side panel at a time but then I would not have got the effect of this wonderful yarn. It has been a real pleasure using the Kauni as I love the feel and smell of wool. The Hap shawl is a simple sturdy shawl and that is what I have - Matt reckons it will do double duty as a picnic rug!

The knitting has been fairly mindless and as such has been quite soothing. I'm already missing it on the needles and am resisting the urge to dig out Rowan 42 and start on Sharon Miller's new variation!

Is that the Brighton hap shawl? If so I agree with Matt in that he can't have it as you might need it for thermal insulation at Glasgow!

Bet that made you knit really fast at the end. Can't wait to see it all blocked and pretty, now where did you last have the camera?

Now that really is sailing close to the wind! Can't wait to see the shawl. I really hope that you find your camera soon. I have just been given one for my birthday, which is almost enough to prompt me into my own blog.
