here's the sum total of the spoils from the NEC
First up James Brett Ripple 55% wool and I liked the colours and texture - I'm thinking a simple shoulder shawl for the office
Oops - not quite the sum total - there's another book to come from MaggiKnits as I fell for an outrageous jacket! My original copy of Cheryl's book was damaged by water so it was good to find a replacement. I'm beginning to enjoy Top Down knitting again so had to buy this book for more inspiration
I don't normally buy green but loved the colour of this and am keen to try the Plassard yarn
Anyone guess what I have planned for this lot?
We caused uproar on the RKM stand trying to pick out colours of this Lang Mohair Luxe and ended up with 12 boxes of yarn open and 4 of us all trying to mix and match colours!
Posted by Yvonne at September 18, 2007 08:12 AMThat mohair looks positively delicious! Whatever are you going to make?
Posted by: sarah at September 21, 2007 02:20 PMwhat beautiful mohair!! I can't wait to see what it becomes. The green I love. That particular one is my favorite. Sounds like you had a much needed fun day out.
Posted by: Arianwen at September 19, 2007 07:19 PMI think you were remarkably restrained - therefore you should allow yourself a trip to John Lewis to get erm, admire the Jane Ellison Mirasol collection - the yarn is exquiste and the patterns are fantastic. I repeat you were very good - too good.
Posted by: juliet at September 18, 2007 10:26 PMAh ! There'll be a plethora of log cabin scarves. I think of it as the ''Kay scarf'', for obvious reasons !
How about a pic of the outrageous jacket, or a link !
are you knitting the log cabin scarf too? lots are i think. if so i love the colors you chose.
Posted by: knittingauntie at September 18, 2007 03:13 PMI have no idea what you are planning to knit, except that I'm going to go through my ksh stash in order to knit that log cabin scarf on knitting daily (from folk style). Look at your haul!
