Anyone else hear the loud bang as I blew the budget today?
I only bought a few skeins of yarn but the quality was superb. I now have Qiviet; handdyed mohair; 50% baby alpaca 50% blue faced leicester chunky and some more mulberry silk. I refrained from the yak until I can go to the bank again.
The Relax and Knit has been mad and we have virtually run out of kits. At one stage today there were 55 youing people all sitting down and knitting - it was a real delight to see and a great compliment to the volunteers that the young people wanted to stay with us.
Posted by Yvonne at October 12, 2007 11:06 PMIt was great meeting you on Thursday. The Knit and Relax stall was very very busy. Sarah and I came by three times before we could get a seat. I loved watching the concentration on the faces of the youngsters as they learned to knit and crochet. They were clearly enjoying it.
Posted by: TussahSilk at October 15, 2007 10:37 PMI saw how busy you and Adrienne were on the stand yesterday, I don't know where you get the energy for 4 days! It was great to see so many teenage boys learning to knit too I was amazed! You are doing a brilliant job!!
Oooooooo Qiviut! Can't wait to hear what you think about it.
