Is it safe

to put my head up over the parapet?

Sorry for the lack of blogging the past few weeks have been the stuff of nightmares with problems and long, long hours at work; health issues; family issues and very little knitting!

I escaped briefly last week for the annual Liberty secret santa and had a magical evening with the Liberty kids - so wonderful to see Beth and sister Ellie, Hugo and Pete.

There has been very little xmas shopping which means a mad rush on xmas knitting - I'd said I was not doing any this year but my nieces phoned on Sunday and placed their requests. Six days to knit two lace boleros for a 4 + 7 year old - will I achieve it?

Hope your schedule eases up! I'm trying not to do any Christmas knitting. I'm such a slow knitter, so I'm saving up finished projects to give out once enough are done, one family at a time - no deadlines.

Go for it - better than trailing around the shops, surely, and kids who actually place orders for knitted stuff must be treasured.

Am not at Libertys tonight - a couple of nightmare journeys home this week and a planned late night mean I'm home writing my cards! Hope to see you next week if you get away... Take care!

yes you will! This is the weather for arthritis - both my brothers are suffering badly despite being on the latest superdrugs.

I keep hopping from one thing to another, have yet to decide if I'm doing anymore Christmas knitting!

So sorry that you haven't been well, the cold weather won't help you at all. I hope the long hours at work will ease off for you, especially with Christmas round the corner.

And best of luck in knitting the lace boleros, it may be a bit of a struggle but you can't help putting the extra effort in for two little girls who so obviously adore your creations.
