That was the week....

that was the most stressful I've experienced for at least 10 years!

The inspection is over, we now have to wait for the results, develop the action plan and keep everyone motivated to work to higher standards.

perhaps now I'll be able to knit.

Work has started on the Fern Fitted Shell and as usual I'm not knitting it in the recommended yarn. I've started it in Jaeger Ascot (the only yarn bought for me at Brighton) in the hope that the elastic content will keep the top fitted - my gauge is so off these days that if I knit anything in cotton it looks like a dishrag after the first time on. My stitch count looks good but the row count is less than it should be for the main body so I plan to knit a few extra repeats of the lace before I cast off the main section. I'll look at the maths for the top section when I get there - I always did like knitting by the seat of my pants!

So far I'm enjoying the knitting, the lace pattern is easily memorised, I enjoy knitting in the round and it's good travel knitting. It also seems to be getting the thumbs up from some of my fellow passengers

that is so pretty, now get ready for Glasgow - I could do with some sanity after the week I had last week!
