Just what the Dr ordered - a civilized weekend in Mid- Wales!
We drove through miles of beautiful countryside, and whilst I spent 2 days at the show Matt got to visit family and spend an afternoon at the Red Kite feeding centre. He has some fantastic photos
I got to meet friends from all over the UK, Europe and Australia; learnt to use my drop spindle and how to ply the yarn I produced; found some new food sources; worked on the crochet reef; and I have some great souvenirs!
I'll just whisper a few of my purchases...
baby camel/silk
cashmere/ silk
wensleydale
baby alpaca
ebony circulars
a drop spindle
merino/tencel tops
mohair tops
and here is one of my favourite show characters

Posted by: Kristen at May 4, 2008 02:43 PMSpindling rocks! I'm so happy for you that you have been sucked into the spindle world - there are so many amazing fibers that you will need to buy for your fiber stash (like sock yarn and bought on holiday yarn, fiber doesn't count)
Posted by: Hannah at April 30, 2008 05:42 PMI am soo jealous, I really wanted to go to Wonderwool!
Posted by: Juliann at April 29, 2008 02:06 PMwhat a cutie! I've just splashed out on an ipod so NO BUYING YARN FOR 3 MONTHS (you heard), I'll live vicariously through your purchases ;)
