Not much knitting going on here as I've been hit with another viral infection and this time it's affected my joints. I'm also near the tail end of a number of projects and they have either lost their appeal / run out of yarn / become boring! I've started a few things but can't settle to anything so it's back to the strips of garter st for me!!
I finally uploaded the rest of the photos and found a few more memories of the AGM to share and really wish I was going to the In the Loop conference this week.
How about a commercially knit swimsuit by Jaeger? Even after all these years it felt itchy and that was without any sand in it!
Dressing holders anyone?
I've always been fascinated by Sanquhuar gloves and this
reminded me that I do have a number of patterns put away for me to knit when time and hands allow. The patterns can be purchased here for the grand sum of 60 pence each!
Another example of Juliet's work
or how about the patriotic needles kit - note the ones with the heart tops for use when knitting for your sweetheart!
Knitting has featured heavily in this post but I'll leave you with an image of some amazing crochet from Barbara - I really must find a way of getting to her crochet group....
Posted by Yvonne at July 13, 2008 11:38 PMI hadn't realised just how exquisitely tiny Juliet's knits are. Wow!
Do hope that you feel better soon.
Posted by: rosie at July 17, 2008 09:53 PMThanks for the links to the glove patterns - there was a fault in the link but I found them anyway!
Hope the joints have settled down again and you're feeling much better... Sending get well vibes your way!
Posted by: tutleymutley at July 15, 2008 07:15 PMI love the photos (the jaeger swimsuit is in a very pretty colour), the tiny knits are gorgeous (does she blog - she needs too, mind you I'd spend a lot of time just dribbling at her talent). I wouldn't mind a set of those needles either - I suspect the heart topped ones when used are used with a lot of heart-felt sighing and made some wonderful treaures for a handsome young swain
Posted by: juliet at July 14, 2008 09:06 PMSorry to hear about the virus. I've always looked on illness as an opportunity to get more knitting and reading done - don't you feel up to it?
