After the excitement of the Olympics came the slump.
It's been a difficult couple of weeks at home with yesterday being the first anniversary of Mydi's death - there's still no real sense of closure as we're still waiting for the criminal trial of the driver.
There's been quite a bit going on at work and some health issues which I really must try to get sorted out in the next few weeks, my bones ache as if it's already mid-winter.
The knitting front has seen a new development - I wanted simple and soft knitting and have found it thanks to Liz and finding some skeins of DK Knitwiches Cashmere in the stash. There may even be photos after the weekend.
The need for quiet solitude is beginning to wane so I've been to my LYS twice this week and I'm spending Saturday with a few friends in London listening to some Canadian woman talk about knitting - think that will help me get my mojo back?
Posted by Yvonne at September 5, 2008 01:04 AMOoh I'll look out for you tomorrow!
Posted by: Daisy at September 5, 2008 07:36 PMlucky you, enjoy it Yvonne. Sorry you aren't too good, sending healing thoughts down to you
Posted by: ambermoggie at September 5, 2008 10:24 AMOh, how I wish I could be there! She will help you get your knitting mojo back. No matter how many times I've heard her speak (3 so far), she never fails to talk about new and interesting things and I come away rejuvenated.
I've been gazing longingly at her pictures of London. I can't wait to get back - my mantra is "Ally Pally '09" - that's my goal for next year.
So sorry about the health issues - hope all is sorted out soon and you're back to feeling well.
Posted by: Stash Haus at September 5, 2008 05:19 AM"some Canadian woman" - I love it! Stephanie will surely cure any ills. I'm jealous that I can't hear her, too! Have a wonderful day, I can't wait to your report. Hers too, as she's already blogged about walking around lost and having a marvelous time. Her travelogues are almost as good as being there.
