Personal v Professional

I've been to Court many times in the past 20 years as a "professional" - Juvenile Court, Magistrates Court, Crown Court and the High Court. Prior to this I'd also been on jury service 3 times.

I've given evidence; prosecuted Breach of Order cases; provided social work support and pre-sentence reports; sat in the cells talking to people convicted of very serious crimes - so why am I so nervous?

This time it is personal - whatever the outcome, I hope I learn from the experience.

My thanks to those of you who've sent messages of support - they have meant a lot to Matt and I.

Knitting content is zero - I can't even cope with a garter stitch strip without creating a bias - think I'll go and read the Mason-Dixon book that arrived this week!

Just remember this is the last hurdle in this long and very sad time. Once you and Matt's family are over this, take time out for yourselves and grieve. Thinking of you.
