and two more to go! First up is Olivia's ballet cardigan knitted in Bamboo Ewe to an adapted Knitting Pure and Simple pattern as she wanted ties not buttons!
With the prospect of 2 more to complete ( the first of which is already on the needles) I allowed myself to get sidetracked! Kay Gardiner (of www.masondixonknitting.com) has come up with the Mitered Crosses Blanket with all proceeds going to help a charity working in Japan. I love knitting mitered squares and log cabin so this was swiftly added to my in box. Once there I kept looking at it and thought it might make a good pram blanket for the soon -to-be Great-nephew. SO out came the Opal Surprise sock yarn for me to do a test swatch - I think it will work quite well for the intended size.
Knitting is slow going at present, I keep getting vertigo attacks and unless I'm doing endless stocking stitch I have to keep moving my head and then feel sick! There'll be even less time next week as I return to work and the prospective cuts!
Posted by Yvonne at April 3, 2011 06:32 PMI'm doing the mitred blanket too! I can do it from stash, just had to buy two more balls of Noro which I managed to track down. I think t could become addictive.....have you seen all the variations on Ravelry?
So sorry you have vertigo, it sounds very unpleasant. Have you tried sea-sickness tablets, they might help.
Love, Jill.
