Making Bank Holiday Monday

No photos as yet as in it's current state today's knitting looks like an undecipherable blob!

A few weeks ago I decided to knit Yvonne by Julie Weisenberger using some Noro Yuzen in a brown, grey, purple mix. The idea came after attending Julie's class at Knit Nation and finding she had a pattern with my name on it! Someone described the pattern as looking like a pair of underpants for a Sumo wrestler - a description I've used when people have asked me what I'm knitting.

The project has been my motorway / long journey knitting project (I'm the passenger!) for our holiday in Devon, a weekend away in Colchester and this weekend's trip to Portsmouth. A simple pattern, easily memorised and suitably mindless for all the miles we've travelled.

Today saw me knit the last of the increase rounds, grounds for celebration - there's only about 10,000 stitches to go until it's finished!

That looks like it'll be a nice garment!
