Life got a trifle complex last autumn and something had to give!
I think the broken foot slowed me down enough for other stuff to hit me and it's taken me a while to feel like me again. I'm nearly there, just need to shake off the residue of the latest round of health issues.
I'll try to summarise the highlights of the end of 2010 for you:
October
Instead of the Knitting & Stitching show I went to a Steam Train Convention with Matt for his beloved Tornado - here he is getting off after his ride on the footplate - talk about excited!
One good surprise at the event was a huge range of second hand books being sold to raise funds - I came away with four Koster & Murray books to add to my collection!
November
was a bit of a haze but November is also Woolly Wormhead's Mystery Hat KAL so great fun was had. I've also done some more test knitting but can't show the pictures as the patterns aren't published yet
December
saw the snow! I also returned to work to find that my team had been nominated for an award, we didn't win but it was good to get the recognition that we were achieving something special
There was more knitting as each member of the team got a scarf for christmas (their request) but my favourite knitting recipient of 2010 is Olivia
She had very specific ideas about what she wanted from a cardigan - luckily Hannah Fetig had already designed the cardigan and the yarn is from Babylonglegs in "Olivia" colourway - what could be more perfect!
